DrawMe
Draw a system design from real cloud services, size it, break it with failures, check its SLA, latency and cost, and get an AI review.
Problems
The DrawMe has 233 problems, the system design topics of Prepare, each with its statement, requirements and targets. Pick one from the library, open it from a Prepare topic or the Problem Library, or type your own. It runs on a computer, not a phone.
Building a design
Drag blocks onto the canvas and connect them. Blocks are vendor-neutral (load balancer, cache, queue, database and more) or real AWS, Azure and GCP services, each with its quota limits, SLA and price. Group blocks into regions and zones, add notes, and use Auto-layout to tidy the canvas. A problem can start from its starter design. Export the design as PNG, SVG or JSON, and import a JSON one.
Capacity
The Capacity tab estimates peak load from the problem's traffic and shows each block's load against its limit: saturated blocks, the bottlenecks and suggested sizes you can apply to the design.
Chaos
The Chaos tab breaks the design on purpose: traffic surges, a node lost, a failover, a whole region going dark. It shows what goes down and the failover timeline, so you can see whether the design holds.
SLA, latency and cost
The design's availability comes from its blocks' SLAs and redundancy, the latency budget from its slowest path, and the Cost tab totals its monthly price by block, for the same design on each cloud.
The AI review
Review scores the design against the problem's requirements on four dimensions: Requirements, High-Level Design, Deep Dive, and Bottlenecks & Trade-offs. Each is scored Below bar, L4, L5 or L6+, with the evidence from your design, the gaps and follow-up questions an interviewer would ask. The review uses Live AI time: your own key on the Engine, your minutes on the CoPilot. Everything else in the Design Studio is free.
